...but I think they are missing something. After all, they have just announced a deal with packet8 to sell their VOIP offerings; yet, a search on Walmart.com for "voip" turns up only books (and one out of stock Soyo unit!?!?!?).

Setting aside the fact that I was pretty impressed that Walmart is listing 11(!!!) VOIP books, apparently the only way to locate the much touted packet8 items are by specifically searching on "packet8" (or "packet 8"). Sure, "broadband" also works, but hey, you have to know that's in the name or description.

Microsost is no longer just "gel'ing", now they are officially Grooving. And another non-Microsoft alternative to their network-centric approach just bit the dust...

Here's somebody who's working just a little bit too hard at the whole pair-a-dimes shifting thingy: The WeatherBug Corporate Blog asks:

"Why would anyone want to develop an application with WeatherBug data, you ask? Simply put, WeatherBug is the only place to get live weather conditions from locations in your neighborhood..."

Answer: When it's like this article! Seriously, he purports to offer a comparison of 3 "DVR options" but deliberately focuses on only a subset of Tivo functions so that it appears to be a 2-and-a-halfway horserace. Nice try, but even sporting that Pinocchio-esque nose, it's not even close. Here's why...
